Remember “No-Bid Contracts?”

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve heard that term, because Bush has been out of office for a while now.

But let’s see if we start hearing about it again in the media now that, according to Fox News, Obama has issued a $25 million no-bid contract to a Democrat campaign contributor to perform work in Afghanistan.

The contract was awarded to Checchi & Company Consulting, Inc. to provide “rule of law stabilization services” in war-torn Afghanistan.

While campaigning, Obama said “I will finally end the abuse of no-bid contracts once and for all” and “The days of sweetheart deals for Halliburton will be over when I’m in the White House.” Technically I guess the second quote is accurate since he didn’t give the no-bid contract to Halliburton.
