Scott Brown votes with Dems on “Jobs Bill”

Well, was I right or was I right?

Back on January 20 I said that Brown’s win is a good thing but not a great thing.  And now, according to Reuters, Scott Brown is voting with Democrats on the new so-called “Jobs Bill.”

Like I said before, Brown, a Republican, winning the Senate seat in Massachusetts is a good thing simply because of the fact that a Republican winning in Massachusetts is practically unheard of, and because it broke the super majority that Democrats had in the Senate.  However, as I also said, it is not a great thing because a Republican in New England may as well be a Democrat in some situations, and this is apparently one of those situations.

This “reach across the aisle” is now leading to more and more calls for “bipartisanship,” which is starting to become a term that I don’t even believe in or understand.  I’ll get into that more here at The Two-Party System, Bipartisanship, and more because I really went off on a tangent and it sort of turned into a post of its own.
